WHO WE ARE
At The Warehouse Church, we come from various walks of life, have had all kinds of good and bad experiences, and represent diverse ethnic groups, cultures, and generations. We are not perfect people. There are areas of our lives where we’ve been wounded and need to heal, where we have dreams we desire to fulfill, and character flaws we want to change. We have some things in common: our desire to know and worship God, our love for one another, our heart to help the hurting, our quest to grow by learning and applying God’s Word, and our passion to extend Christ’s love and teachings to the entire world.
The Warehouse-Where lives are transformed:
- in the Presence of God
- by the Word of God
- with the People of God
- for the Kingdom of God
- to the Glory of God
The Warehouse Church is place where the raw material of our lives is transformed, we share in a loving community, our gifts are honed, and we are equipped and deployed to present the LORD Jesus Christ to the world.
- Worship – reverence, adoration, honor and obedience to the LORD
- Integrity – honesty and strong moral principles, whole and undivided, sound in construction
- Solidarity – unity and agreement in community
- Discipleship – disciplined learning about and following of Jesus
- Overcoming – prevailing success in dealing with difficulties by faith
- Ministry – servant hearts that attend to needs and provide what is helpful to others
Music Director & Worship Leader
I am married to my beautiful wife, Lundon Johnson. We have 2 boys, Robert (RJ) 8 years and Rylan 8 months. I grew up in and around the Cincinnati area, graduating from Western Hills High School. I am bi-vocational working in the children and families service arena at Beech Acres at Mt. Washington school as worship leading at The Warehouse Church.
My journey to Christ began as a young child. I was taken to church and immediately was drawn to the music. As I got older, I became more interested in Jesus Christ and eventually gave my life over to him.
After giving my life to Christ, I continued to be drawn to music and the arts. In various experiences, I was exposed to choir, dance, drama, and production. Those experiences along with the hand of God on my life led me to a life of worship leading through music.
I enjoy creating music that glorifies God. Other things I like to do are watch movies, play basketball, watch football, basketball and baseball; my favorite teams are the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Bengals, and the Reds. I also enjoy traveling. One of my dreams is to travel the world to see and experience all God’s creation. My favorite food is fried fish and collard greens and/or cabbage and my favorite dessert is pretzel salad.
Technical & Media Director
I’m married to the beautiful songbird Chrysta McClendon. I’m the father of 6 children: David Jr. (DJ), Layla, Jeremiah, Micah (preceded in death), Cherish and Christian.
I’m a born and raised Cincinnati native who graduated from Lakota West High School. I furthered my education at The Full Sail University and New Horizon Computer Training Center.
I’m the son of Pastors William and Linda McClendon Jr., so in church is where I spent the most of my days. I was baptized as a young man and accepted the call to minister the gospel in 2001. I joined The Warehouse in 2017 after praying for the place I should support, connect and serve.
I love all things tech and enjoy assisting, displaying, and teaching tech, so I’ve spent the last 3 years in Media and Communications here at the Warehouse.
My hope is that others that I’ve the chance to serve with in ministry, not only hear… but see my heart’s desire to serve God through my gifts.
I enjoy coaching sports when I’m not serving in ministry, spending time outdoors with my family and entrepreneurial ventures.
